Erie, PA

Horses in the dust 

My dad and Nancy picked me up at the Cleveland airport and drove me 100 miles to Erie, PA (we stopped in CLE to get some MitcheLl's Ice Cream).

I was in Erie to see my sister and her family.

The weather was perfect and we ate almost every meal outside.

As you can see -- Lake Erie has some of the best sunsets in the world! 

I flew LAX-CLE on Continental ||
 

Last week I attended NBTA (National Business Travel Association) convention in San Diego. Over 5,200 people were there and it was a great opportunity to find out what's new in the industry.
 

My favorite part was walking the impressive trade show floor and testing out all the new biz class seats

And sampling the in-flight service

They also had top notch speakers like Tom Ridge

and Deborah Norville. Next year's conference is in Chi-Town (www.nbta.org) 

In San Diego I stayed at one of the newest, hippest boutique hotels

The rooms at Estancia (www.estancialajolla.com) in La Jolla were very comfortable -- especially the bed

The service was great too and they had cool uniforms

After the game we got the opportunity to visit the Reds locker room. It was so cool! Then a bunch of us went out and hit the town. San Diego rocks.
 

I went with my cousin A.J. and buddy Nick to Petco Park in San Diego to see the Padres take on the Cincinnati Reds.

We had amazing seats directly behind home plate.||
 

Believe it or not... When I returned from Europe I needed a vacation from my vacation. So I checked into the Laguna Ritz Carlton

The hotel sits high (150 feet) above the beach

which is perfect

The hotel is huge and serves tasty (and good looking) food

They have a state of the art gym that deliver the best views in the country

They also have an incredible masseuse (I needed a massage after carrying all those bags)

Greenland looked even better

The 10:42 flight was easy and they fed me well 

We flew right over Iceland. It was too cool! ||  

I took Heathrow Express from Paddington to LHR. It cost 14 pounds and took 15 minutes.

I flew United nonstop to LAX

Taxing down the runway I was surprised to see a Concorde  

In London I stayed at the hippest and

coolest hotel!

One Aldwych

It was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in

Private gym! Can you believe that?

I also had a private balcony

I was so bummed I was only there for 1 night and didn't have any friends with me! We could've gone down to the screening room and watched a movie. Next time!  

I took the Tube as far as I could go and then had to jump in a

Taxi

London was beautiful

And I didn't feel any nervous vibes

Took a walk around the city

Even in the rain

Bought a 1/2 price ticket to The Producers in Leicester Square
 

I took easyJet which is Europe's Southwest Airlines.

Just like Southwest it's open seating and the flight attendants are way cool.

I flew 2 hours to London's Gatwick airport

And took the Gatwick Express train into Paddington Station (Central London). ||  

I flew out of Rome's Ciampino Airport. It's 30 minutes away from the city and cost 33 euros by taxi. ||
