Delta to L.A. via Atlanta
I could've flown a number of airlines (Delta, Virgin America, Jet Blue, Air Tran) nonstop from Fort Lauderdale or Miami, but it was cheaper and easier to fly from PBI (West Palm Beach) since it's so close-and I needed some more Delta miles. Therefore, I flew Delta via Atlanta back home; the flight was uneventful except that I sat in the exit row next to a lady who had her cell phone on the whole time. When she checked to see if she had any calls I said, "You know, you aren't supposed to have your phone on." She said, "Really? I just thought you weren't supposed to use it." A comment like that didn't make me feel very safe, considering she was the person in charge of opening the exit door.
BTW: Is it just me or have you noticed Delta's customer service tanking lately? I know there were snowstorms and everyone got backed up, but I called American and United to try to use miles for an award ticket and they all answered the phone in a timely fashion. When I called Delta on more then one occasion I got a busy signal, even using one of their secret phone numbers for frequent fliers. That's unacceptable.
