JET?<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Greeting from L.A.! This week the temperatures
went from 84 to 44 degrees and I didn't even have to travel get those extremes.
I decided to lay low and work on these new city portals: Dallas
| Denver
| Seattle
| Washington
D.C. | La$
Vega$ | New
Orleans (They can be found on the bottom of the
portal page.)
Since I was working so much this week it has been
pretty uneventful, but don't worry next week will be different (I'm going
to the airport in a few hours).
Here are some highlights from this week: Went
to my cousin Art's house to make meatball
grinders, and ate them in this cool,
relaxing park
in San Pedro. On the way back home, Amber and I went looking
for whales. Unfortunately, we didn't see any
(too early). For dinner, we took out Marc
Meredith (one of our Jet
Writers) to C&O (Cheese and Olive) in Venice. It's an awesome and
inexpensive Italian restaurant where they play (every hour) my favorite
Italian song..."When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie.....".
Everyone sings along and the waiters come by toasting
everybody.
The weather warmed up for the weekend and it was perfect
out here. It was just like summer, but even better because it was less crowded.
The beach city residents were out rollerblading, biking, and playing
v-ball (as you can see I was no different).
One of the funniest things I did this week was add my cousins to the website
www.amihotornot.com. The only pictures I had just
happened to be them wearing Johnny
Jet clothing. I uploaded them and sent them the links as a joke (here
they are: Art
/ Joe ).
They weren't too happy with me, but when we saw my web reports that night
that I had so many referrals from those pictures I decided to upload a picture
of myself
with a JJ hat on (free promotion!). I encourage all of you to help spread
the good word about www.johnnyjet.com. We need hits!
Until next week.....
BTW:
For those of you who don't know we have a Johnny
Jet Forum. This week's topic is Time Shares. If you have any knowledge
of them click this link below, and share your thoughts:
Every
time I go on vacation, I go to the "Timeshare" demo/sales pitch.
I've
received many rewards like dinners, show tickets, even $$. Their pitch sounds
like a good deal, but I am unsure. Has anyone had any experiences with these?
Let us all know!

My

Trade Show Tips Part 2
Watch out for huge trade shows that can clog a city's airport and fill hotels
unexpectedly. But if you are headed to that crowded show, here are some
survival tips.
o Set up meetings with important contacts before the convention, because
once you get there, you'll be competing with hundreds of other attendees,
not to mention cocktail parties, banquets, and breakout meetings.
o While trade shows are a big part of doing business in the United States,
the concept is even more popular overseas. No smoking, no eating rules that
are standard at U.S. trade shows may jot apply elsewhere. Europeans use
trade shows as an opportunity to do business, like signing major contracts
or making deals, whereas Americans tend to use trade shows for networking
and relationship maintenance.

Got a travel tip for anyone who's interested: when you need to get more
pages for your passport or need to renew your passport, do it outside of
the country at a US Consulate if possible. I went into the consulate
in Milan with one page left in my passport and was able to get a new passport
with extra pages in thirty minutes for $40 USD. Many of my friends
have had similar positive experiences doing it this way; I doubt many people
have as much luck when they cruise in to their local post office.
