I do like to shop, but I am like most guys when it comes to hanging around in stores, I get impatient.  Well I have to tell you I found a store this week in San Francisco (they also have one in Carmel), that I was not in a hurry to leave.  If you are like me and love travel stores you need to check this one out, A.S.A.P.!
It's awesome! They have every airlines model plane, including a 747-400 in the middle of the store that it bigger than me ($5,000). They also have aloha plane shirts, bomber jackets, coasters, ties (I bought one).

This Past Week's Itinerary:  LAX-SFO-BOS (Train to CT) JFK-LAX.    I was in San Francisco for business and a wedding.  I had breakfast with my buddy from DinnerNOW.com (great website to use for making reservations).  I ate way too many cookies from Tom's Cookies (located in Macy's basement), they are the best around, trust me ( just try the oatmeal butterscotch).  Congratulations to Tim (who is chef and co/owner of Elroys Restaurant) and Jen Hartog.  The Black Tie wedding was at the Legion of Honor, which is a beautiful place to get married (the views are breath taking).

In Boston I had lunch with my new friends over at SmarterLiving.com  really cool guys and if you haven't signed up for their weekly e-specials, what are you waiting for?  I decided to experience the train ride from Boston to Stamford, CT (4hrs).  I was very surprised and delighted to see how much charm the South Street Station has in Boston, you almost feel like you are in Europe.  There are also many  places to grab a bite to eat while waiting (Sbarro, McDonald's, Philly Cheese Steak, Deli's, Auntie Annie's, Chocolate & Ice Cream shop and a coffee house).  Ticket Prices: $46 for a 1 way off peak, $65 Business Class (Bigger seats, free non alcoholic drinks, and newspaper).

Question:
I am currently enrolled in the United Airlines Mileage Plus program and have just returned from a trip which included Ansett Australia and Air New Zealand flights.
How can I get credit for the miles accumulated on those flights? -- Sarah

Response:
Hopefully you saved your tickets and boarding passes, as you usually need both to apply for credit after-the-fact.  For the next step, mail those ticket and boarding pass copies to United's processing center:  Mileage Plus / P.O. Box 28870 /  Tucson, AZ 85726-8870

And be sure to save the originals in case your request is lost or misrouted.
United's policy is that any retro requests must be received within 12 months of the date of the transaction in question, so there's no rush.

Following are some general guidelines:

To insure you are credited properly in the first place, provide your membership number BOTH when making reservations and when checking in for flights, hotel
stays, or car rentals.

Save tickets and boarding passes for airline flights and other receipts for non-airline partners until you verify that the mileage has been credited.

Wait at least 30 days, but no more than 90 days, before  filing a missing-mile claim. (Don't be too quick to assume your miles have been lost.  While many
transactions are credited in 30 or fewer days, some--particularly foreign carriers and rental car companies--routinely seem to take up to 90 days.)

If you must file a claim, check with the program's service center to determine the proper procedure. Some airlines require that all missing-mile correspondence be
routed through them. Others will have you direct some partner requests to the partners themselves.

Expect that up to six weeks will elapse between the time the airline receives your retro request and the missing miles appear in your account.
