Since we have been getting so many emails with questions regarding the UA/USAir merger. I decided to ask an Anonymous United Pilot the other day in the airport. He is not one of our Jet Captains who answer weekly questions, so don't get them confused.
QUESTION:  Do you think the United/US Air deal will go through? & How will it affect the pilots?
ANSWER:  Yes, I do think it will happen.  Yes and no to part two.  It will be good for some United pilots, bad for others (the junior ones like me,) and good for all the US Airways pilots  who get to come work for an airline that did not hire them.  Best for Stephen Wolf, who gets $140 million for continuing to be a scum bag and will ride off  into the sunset and onto the board of directors of Air France. (Remember these are just his OPINIONS.  They do not  represent those held by UAL, the FAA, the Department of Defense, or my parents).
