Watch out for "shoulder surfers" or those that steal your long-distance calling card number by spying on you at airports. Shoulder surfers are more prevalent in cities with large immigrant populations, which provide a perfect market for stolen calling cards. Some phones now have special shields to thwart prying eyes--but if not, cover the phone with your body when entering your number, or if possible, swipe your card through the reader on the phone. Speak quietly if you must dictate your number to an operator.

For people traveling abroad, tell them to make sure to check the Holiday schedule in their specific travel  destinations!!  Tania and I just got back from our Honeymoon a few days late because there were a few over booked flights leaving from Rome.  The Holiday was All Saints Day and landed on a Monday which made it a 3 day weekend.  Fortunately I did check the weather report and knew how to avoid the rains in Italy as we were going through!!!  The TIP OF THE DAY is definitely check the Holiday schedule and weather report before heading out!
