TIP OF THE WEEK   by Chris McGinnis:
KEEP THE HOME FIRES BURNING
After a grueling week on the road, most business travelers look forward to rest and relaxation at home. But the stay-at-home spouse, eager to make up for lost time, expects a lot of quality time (not necessarily "relaxing" time) from the traveling spouse. These differing expectations can wreak havoc on what should be "loving" homecomings. If you love your frequent flier account balance as much as your significant other, here are some ways to keep the home fires burning-- and earn miles at the same time: SEND FLOWERS OFTEN. Most major airline frequent flyer programs offer around 500 miles for per order. Others offer a set amount of miles per dollar spent. Check out your options on airline sites, or call services like 1-800-FLOWERS. More options next week!

American Airlines will require passengers to check their oversized carry-on bags at 10 airports starting next month. The Fort Worth-based carrier said it would install templates at security X-ray machines at selected airports on Dec. 1. Bags must fit through the opening in the template to be carried on board aircraft, airline officials said. Cont. at: http://www.msnbc.com/news/336395.asp

AND COMMENTS

Tip of the week by Chris McGinnis....
Milwaukee is two hours north of Chicago.  Don't let anyone get stuck because of that!

Anne G.  -Chicago

Anne,  Thanks for the tip, I had the "BIG MAN" respond

Mapquest.com  states that the distance between ORD and MWE is 72 miles, and  takes 1 hour and 26 minutes driving at the speed limit in no traffic.(<AHREF="http://www.mapquest.com/cgi-bin/mqtrip?uid=u1ne51j3z7h0y3ih%3Aan0ybl1rt&avoid_lmtd_access=&amp;avoid_toll_roads=&amp;route_type=&amp;link=TripQuest-Main&amp;uid=u1ne51j3z7h0y3ih%3Aan0ybl1rt&amp;OCC=US&amp;DCC=US&amp;AB_LABELS=&amp;OAB=&amp;DAB=&amp;avoid_ferry=1&amp;OPC=airports&amp;OPL=419793_-878833%2CO%27hare+Int%27l%2C+I-190+W%2CChicago%2CIL&amp;DPC=Ai rports&DPL=429474_-879033%2CGeneral+Mitchell+Int%27l+Airport%2C+Mitchell+FieldPark+Rd%2CMilwaukee%2CWI&quest_mode=trek&results_display_mode=overview&POIRad =1.0">Driving Directions Results</A> ). When I made the trip a few years ago,  I was with a friend who drove his new BMW very fast-- and we left from a  northern suburb of Chicagoland, and the trip took "about an hour." But as  Anne warns, it could take longer than that.
