AIRPORT MAP OF THE WEEK Frankfurt International Airport

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Greetings everyone!  By now you have figured out that I have launched http://www.Johnnyjet.com.  I am pretty excited, so please check it out.  If you have any ideas, please send them to me.  I hope all of you living in the U.S. had a good Thanksgiving Holiday, I did as I spent it in Connecticut.  This week I am back in L.A. enjoying the mild days and the chilly nights. I would like to thank Business Traveler Magazine for inviting me to their travel awards today at the Plaza hotel in New York City. Unfortunately, I was unable to go, but hopefully next year!. For all of you looking to reach your next level of  premier status, you might want to take advantage of this weekend's e-fares.  What great deals, sample: Los Angeles (LAX) to  Miami (MIA)  for $118.00 RT!
If you like my site, please encourage your friends/colleagues to go online and sign up for the weekly email or send me their email addresses.

TIP OF THE WEEK   by Chris McGinnis: KEEP THE HOME FIRES BURNING
After a grueling week on the road, most business travelers look forward to rest and relaxation at home. But the stay-at-home spouse, eager to make up for lost time, expects a lot of quality time (not necessarily "relaxing" time) from the traveling spouse. These differing expectations can wreak havoc on what should be "loving" homecomings. If you love your frequent flier account balance as much as your significant other, here are some ways to keep the home fires burning-- and earn miles at the same time:
MAKE RESERVATIONS: Over the last few years, most airlines have launched dining programs, offering from three to ten miles for each dollar spent at restaurants in almost every city. You either pre-register you charge cards, or present your frequent flier card when paying the tab, and miles are posted to your account automatically.
PHONE HOME #1: A call from 35,000 feet makes anyone feel special, and now you'll earn miles when using the seatback phone on some airlines. Also, most calling cards (and even some pay phones) allow callers to program a message to be delivered at any time. If you will be on an extended trip or otherwise out-of-touch, leave a short "I love/miss/can¼t-wait-to-see/am-thinking-of you" message for each day that you are away.

LIVE WEB CAMS OF THE WEEK

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK  e-Fax.com
"eFax's free fax service provides you with your own fax number. When someone sends a fax to that number, the fax automatically appears in your email box. It can then be viewed with eFax's proprietary fax viewer, which the company sends to you via email once you complete a brief registration. The viewer downloads in seconds and is easy to install.

JOHNNYJETSETTER'S
Johnny Jet:  I just wanted to let you know that after reading your article about the rising prices for Christmas fares, I took your advice and logged onto Priceline.com and got a cross country ticket NJ-LAX for $275 roundtrip. That's less than I have ever paid, holiday or not!  Usually when I travel I have very fixed dates, but if I ever have the flexibility like I do around major holidays you can bet that I am going to visit Priceline.com again.  Thanks for the tip.  J.B., New Jersey

J.B.- I am glad it worked out for you!  Happy Travels -Johnny Jet
