LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Hello from L.A., That's right I haven't flown for over a week and I am not planning on it for at least another week (I am starting to get the jitters).  I have been working hard with my boy Bojan on getting http://www.johnnyjet.com  going. We think it's looking pretty good, and we hope you like it too.  I inked a deal this week with a great hotel discount company (go into their banner ad on johnnyjet).  You can find really good discounts in most major cities. I have used them in the past for hotels in San Francisco (usually around $99).

TIP OF THE WEEK   by Chris McGinnis
After a grueling week on the road, most business travelers look forward to rest and relaxation at home. But the stay-at-home spouse, eager to make up for lost time, expects a lot of quality time (not necessarily "relaxing" time) from the traveling spouse. These differing expectations can wreak havoc on what should be "loving" homecomings. If you love your frequent flier account balance as much as your significant other, here are some ways to keep the home fires burning-- and earn miles at the same time:
BRING HIM OR HER ALONG: If you are out on the road, instead of going home for the weekend, invite your special someone to join you. Inquire at your hotel and ask for special weekend rates. If you end up staying over a weekend, your air fare could be cut in half or more, so bringing along your mate might even save money-- or save your relationship! Plus, you¼ll earn more points in your hotel frequent stay program.

We got you hooked on frequent flyer programs, and now you've found a program you didn't think you needed to belong to. What to do? Let us take care of enrolling you! After all, you can't earn the miles unless you enroll in the program.
From Johnny Jet: This is a great resource for all the "rookies" starting to hit the road. Enroll in all the programs you think you will use, but try and stick to (as much as you can)  one airline, and hotel program.

Just got back from a stint in NYC while watching the news I heard about an interesting website...earthcam.com, this web site will show the New Years Eve celebration in various time zones.  They have cameras situated all over the world that will allow you to ring in the near year from what ever country you like.  They say that we can click to see different angles etc. I think it would pretty cool to login on our laptops from where ever we are sipping champagne to see how others are ringing in the new year.  Beth M.-Los Angeles
Beth,  Thanks for the tip. I checked the site out and it is very cool.  -Johnny Jet
